No, an educational institution has no right to refuse such a child. After all, she lives in the service area of the educational institution.
If the number of children eligible for primary enrollment is greater than stated by the school, parents should be offered schools that are as close as possible to their place of residence. In addition, they can open an additional class.
The presence of a child at the time of application, lottery or enrollment is optional. An educational institution does not require the presence of a prospective student.
Priority enrollment lasts until June 1. That is why parents must submit all documents by the end of May. Initially, children are admitted to the school who have the right of first enrollment.
This:
- children living in the service area of the educational institution;
- children whose siblings are already attending this institution;
- children of employees of the educational institution;
- children who are graduates of the preschool department of this school.
Parents have the right to apply to any school outside the service area. The number of applications is not limited. It should be noted that in order for a child to be enrolled in a vacant place, a certificate is required stating that he / she has not been admitted to school at the place of residence.
If the parents are denied enrollment in the school, they can appeal this decision in writing to the education department within two working days. If such a decision is found to be illegal, the violation will be eliminated.
Six years is the physiological age at which a child can be admitted to school. But parents should focus on its physiological and psychological capabilities. Usually in kindergarten, during the last year, children begin to prepare for school.
But if parents decide to send their child to special courses, it is worth doing it six months or a year before school. Such classes will help the child to better adapt to the team, teach interaction and teamwork.
